Hirosaki city is a traditional regional capital located in the northernmost of the Honshu main island in Japan. This place is well known for its gorgeous cherry blossoms in the spring, but autumn colors are also stunning.

Located five hundred miles north of Tokyo, autumn colors came to this area early, but I could see the remnants of the color foliage at the end of November.

Fallen leaves create beautiful carpets on the ground.

Autumn is one of the best times to travel to Japan. You can enjoy the fall foliage and delicious food. The air is cleaner, and the visibility is the best of the year. You can expect fine dry days at this time of the year.

Hirosaki is a castle town. This historically and culturally rich city grew around the castle, which was initially constructed in 1611. The castle tower is one of the original twelve remaining in Japan. Some of its gates and turrets date back to the seventeenth century, and they are designated as Important Cultural Property of Japan.
